"To improve the
Quality of Life of persons with
Multiple Sclerosis and their families"
• Through
Project Connect , we can hook you up with a free computer to keep
you in touch with family and friends, and keep you up to date on the
latest research and treatment options.
• We can provide a
wide variety of medical
equipment ,
such as
wheelchairs, canes, scooters and shower benches.
• We have some funds
for emergency, one-time
needs, with everything from moving to housecleaning.
• Because the heat
of summer can intensify
some symptoms of MS, we give out portable air conditioners to those who
need them through our Summer Comfort
program.
• We have
peer counselors ready and willing to help you understand the
challenges of MS, and will soon have them available on line.
• We have numerous
social
activities available for relaxation and fun.
• Our quarterly
newsletter
offers additional information, along with stories of inspiration
and hope.
As an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit
charitable organization, MSSP is supported through tax-deductible
private contributions , bequests and
grants. We collaborate with other MS organizations
regionally and nationwide on program services and fundraising events.
We receive no federal or state assistance and no United Way funding
(other than donor-option contributions). Our services are available to
all in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
