Free basic transfer skill classes to any and all caregivers
The MSSP is offering free basic transfer skill classes to any and all caregivers (including family members, friends and other support systems) that provide home care to the disabled. Each student will learn how to properly use transfer boards, gait belts, sliding boards, transfer pole and a hoyer lift so they can safely transfer any disabled individual from a bed to wheelchair, shower or commode.
Classes will be held at:
2901 SE 122nd, Portland, OR 97236
Class Schedule: Classes scheduled based on actual number of interested participants.
- No more than 12 students per class.
- Participants must sign a waiver of liability presented during class.
- Students must be at least 18 years of age.
